FAQ: Resolving "Login Required" or "Age Restricted" Errors

If you encounter a "Login Required" or "Age Restricted" error while using Summarify to summarize a YouTube video, you can resolve the issue by signing into your YouTube account in Safari.

This solution only works when summarizing from Safari. It won't work if you're using the YouTube app or summarizing directly from the Summarify app.

Here’s how to fix it:

1. Open Safari and go to the YouTube website.

2. Sign in to your YouTube account.

3. Navigate to the video you want to summarize.

If you are using Summarify on Mac REFRESH the page before sharing

4. Use the Share button in Safari to send the video to Summarify:
   • Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up).
   • Scroll through the options and select Summarify.

Summarify will then be able to summarize the video, even if it requires login or is age-restricted.
